
Nomandla Nxusa
Nomandla is a lecturer at the University of Limpopo, Department of Water and Sanitation. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering, specialising in Water Quality Engineering at the University of Cape Town. Her research focuses on microbial ecology in wastewater treatment, mine water reuse, and systems design. Nomandla is a proud Wetskills alumnus and received the award for the 2023 Water Challenge South Africa. She serves as a Coordination Lead for the WISA Young Water Professionals Limpopo Chapter. She is a member of the South African National Committee for UNESCO IHP and OWSD South Africa National Chapter. She is committed to advancing sustainable sanitation management and capacity building in South Africa’s water and sanitation sector.
