
Onkarabile Mooketsa
Onkarabile Mooketsa is a BSc Biotechnology, BSc Honours in Medicinal Plant Science (Tittle: Bioactivity of a herbal mixture used to treat Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and BSc Honours in Environmental Sciences with Aquatic Ecosystem Health (Tittle: Assessment of the temporal-spatial water quality and algal assemblages of the Vaalkop Dam and its tributaries) graduate of the University of Pretoria and Northwest University respectively. She is currently employed at Magalies Water Scientific Services as a Research Scientist Assistant within the Research, Development and Process Technology department in which she assists the Research Scientist in water quality report writing, water research and water treatment process optimization. She performs microbiological, hydro biological, toxicological and parasitological tests on ad hoc basis and recently appointed as a subject matter expert for Scientific Services. She possesses impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, high level of integrity and an innate drive to succeed. She has held various leadership roles during her academic years affiliated with the Student Representative Council and other leadership roles post her academic years through various young professionals platforms and professional employment. Furthermore, she is an education activist, a researcher, a mentor, a MSc candidate in Environmental Science, a memeber of the Golden key International Honour Society and an aspiring phycology (algae) researcher.
