Seani Nevondo is an Environmental Officer Production for the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), she was appointed formally as the Youth Ambassador for Limpopo in November 2023, due to her dedication to Youth Empowerment. The candidate has studied Environmental science and worked in environmental legislation for 8 years, working for DWS in 6 provinces of South Africa. She has acquired 10 years’ experience in the water and sanitation sector, this is inclusive of voluntary work in waste treatment, appointment in Water Use Licence Authorisations, Environmental Assessment Practitioning, Compliance Internship and Scientist technician. The candidate is the chairperson of the South African Water and Sanitation Youth Network: Limpopo Provincial Operations. The candidate is currently responsible for the stakeholder engagements and information sharing regarding the departments offer for bursaries in all High schools within Limpopo and opportunities within the water sector. She advocates for youth in leadership roles and hosts water knowledge sharing sessions. Lastly, she is responsible for facilitating the inclusion of all Department water sector stakeholders in the youth network. She was selected to form part of the DPSA program as an Emerging Leader in Public Service (ELIPS), she graduated with the cohort of 2024.
