Germina is a PhD candidate in Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Cape Town, specialising in climate vulnerability, drought impacts, and sustainable environmental management. Her research focuses on the socio-environmental resilience of rural communities, combining spatial modelling, climate indices, and mixed-methods fieldwork to inform locally grounded adaptation strategies. Tsakani brings deep expertise in GIS, RS, and climate modelling tools, alongside a strong foundation in solid waste management. As Chief Financial Officer and Director of Trucam Ultimate Support NPO, Tsakani leads initiatives in youth empowerment, education, and sustainable development. Her work bridges science, policy, and grassroots action to advance water security, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability across Southern Africa.
