The seminar aimed at introducing the YWP EC node which is the Eastern Cape body of the YWP South Africa and the Water Institute of Southern Africa. The seminar also introduced students to wide career choices within the water sector (i.e., environmental, socio-economic and engineering) and provided participants with an opportunity to interact with the Eastern Cape water professionals, the YWP EC committee itself and invited guest speakers. We believe that such a platform enhanced collaboration efforts across different water sectors, provide participants particularly students with role models/mentors and potential employers in the water sector in the near future.
