A Civil Engineer Technologist and Construction Project Manager with 14 years’ experience in Civil Engineering, Municipal Infrastructural Services in Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality i.e. Water & Waste Treatment, Bulk Water Supply Scheme, Road and Stormwater Design, Construction & Maintenance and also substantial experience within the Built Environment. Ms A Mngeni holds several qualifications within the Built Environment Industry. She has been involved in various programmes in the water sector such as Women in Water Mentorship Program and Young Engineers Changemakers Programme(YECP). She is currently conducting research on water technologies demonstration as to assist with the current challenge of water crisis in Eastern Cape. Amanda has been a member of various recognised Professional Bodies within South Africa namely ECSA, WISA and SAICE. In the meantime, she is the Lead for the Young Water Professional (YWP) chapter in Eastern Cape and involved in other platforms that promote inter-disciplinary collaboration in the sciences and water space.
