Anya Eilers

National Lead

Anya is an experienced senior scientist at Zutari and specialises in water resource management and climate change adaptation. She has a strong background in interdisciplinary technical roles, including water resource sciences, earth sciences, engineering, climate change adaptation, financing, stakeholder engagement, and project management. With a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, Anya has worked on a wide range of projects across countries like Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Lesotho, and South Africa.
Prior to her work at Zutari, she gained valuable experience as a water and sanitation consultant at the Global Green Growth Institute - Ethiopia Country Office. During her consultancy position, she was responsible for business development and project management of GGGI's water program in Ethiopia, supporting sustainable water projects and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Anya has an undergraduate in Earth Sciences and Masters in Environmental Geochemistry from Stellenbosch University.
