Mbali Sibiya

Mrs. Mbali Sibiya is an employee of Umgeni water as a Process and Quality Technician. She holds a B.tech degree in Chemical Engineering (Environmental). She is currently pursuing a BEng Honors Water Utilization. She has 10 years of experience working in the water sector in potable water treatment, water quality, and chemical process control and treatment process management. Mbali is a motivated young professional whose interests are in contributing to the transformation and advancement of the water sector. She volunteers in the Water Institute of South Africa where she has served in the YWP empowerment platform for the past 6 years. She has served as the YWP KZN chapter finance lead 2018- 2020 and currently the YWP-ZA KZN provincial and National transformation portfolio lead. Mbali is a member of the Water Youth Network (WYN) where she serves under the water governance coordination. Mbali has presented her work in the water sector at 2 international conferences and is currently serving as a member of the youth initiatives consult for the International World water forum 2021. Mbali is a wife mother and mentor and an advocate or the attainment of Sustainable development goal 6.
