Nontando Vungwana

Nontando Vungwana is an analytical, innovative, solution-oriented Chief Executive Officer. She is dedicated to leading project teams in meeting and exceeding project objectives. Nontando has over a decade worth of experience working in various roles within the water sector. Her experience spans across the water services spectrum and is currently in project management. Not only is Nontando a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the globally recognised Project Management Institute (PMI), she is also a registered Natural Scientist. She holds a Master’s Degree (cum laude) in Chemistry from the University of Johannesburg as well as a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the University of Pretoria. Her accolades include being awarded the Chancellor’s Gold medal for the top Master’s student in the Faculty of Science at the University of Johannesburg in 2013 as well as the Bronze Medal from the Southern Africa Association for the Advancement of Science (S2A3) for the Best Scientific Master’s dissertation in the Faculty of Science for 2013. Nontando has a deep commitment to community and civic engagement. She is involved in numerous community service programmes aimed at mentoring youth. She volunteers her time to NGOs such as Dream Girls Foundation, The Stella Education Foundation as well as the Kingdom Consultant Centre.
