Her research is based on Microplastic associated Enterobacteriaceae biofilms in marine sewage plant outfalls. This research focuses on isolating antibiotic resistant bacteria on these microplastics as antibiotic resistance is a ongoing global issue.

She is also the chairperson of the Young Water Professionals - North West chapter.
