Sibusiso is an Professional Chemical Engineer Technologist (Pr Tech Eng), who has been in the water and sanitation space for over 10 years working for various private organizations in the commercial sales of water treatment chemicals, allowing him to gain valuable skills in water, wastewater and effluent treatment process optimization and customer relationship management. He is very much passionate about advocating and implementation of water and sanitation for all, this is evident from his volunteer work in various non-profit organizations within South Africa and abroad since 2015.
His main career limelight’s include introducing a range of specialty water treatment products, gaining high-value contract bids, performing water and wastewater treatment chemical development in various African countries, organizing and hosting community based Water, and Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) projects, being part of an South African delegation to attend the International Water Association (IWA) water congress in Denmark, and United Nations 2023 Water Conference in New York. He is also am a member of the Global Expert Panel of Brenntag Group Water Treatment Portfolio.
Sibusiso holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), B.Sc. (Hons) degree in chemical engineering (Water Utilisation), Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. His current interests in the water and sanitation sector are youth involvement in water, public water and industrial effluent treatment, water policy development, desalination and water supply.
Personally, he is a loving father and a two time comrade’s ultra-marathon finisher, and his motto is "Self-Competition Breeds Excellence."
